All about Parker

I've been wanting to this for weeks, maybe even months and finally snuck in enough time to get the shots and post it on my blog.  It's called Sunday snapshot and this week I'm doing it on my 8 year old son Parkercenter>Ni Hao Y'all

Parker where do I start???  There are so many words that describe you funny, energetic, caring, smart, sneaky and athletic.   You are the meaning of "All BOY"   Always full of lots of energy, loves the outdoors and hunting for bugs, not afraid to jump in a mud puddle, and always on the go.

We thought you would never loose your two front teeth and then you lost them both at the same time.

Always giving 110% in every game you play even if they won't pass when your open

Those big brown eye and those silly faces you make!
My bald little boy who didn't get hair until he was two years oldYou were the chubbiest of all my babies
A lover of anything that swims in water.

My second baby boy and time seemed to fly by and the next thing we knew you were a year old.

You were such a big brother when Chase was born and grew up over night.

And then you met your sister and you were so excited to see her and kept calling her Mei Mei over and over.

Parker you are  such a special boy that is loved beyond words.  You've taught us so much as parents and have brought so much love to our family.   LOVE YOU PARKER!

2 months anniversary!

2 months ago we met you for the first time in a crowded room in China.  You have blossomed into such a special little girl in our 2 months together.  You bring so much happiness and laughter to our family and we love you so much!  We look forward to the months ahead.

My New TOY!

We finally broke down and bought a new washer and dryer.  10 years and three kids later it was about time!

Playing with Playdooh is FUN!

I was feeling pretty brave and brought the playdooh out for Zoe and Chase to play with.  First she tried to eat it and then she made a mess, but she had fun doing it!

Shots & blood work.

Today Zoe had her second doctor's appointment she had to get four more shots. mainly since they weren't done in the right time frame in China and a couple she never recieved.  She also had to get blood work drawn, my poor little girl was so pitiful it broke my heart to see her so upset.  We have to go back in a month for another few shots and more blood work and an xray.   She's fast asleep right now, I'm hoping she feels better when she wakes up.

Having fun with hair!

Zoe brought me a rubber band this morning and wanted me to put it in her hair.  Her hair is finally long enough and she loved it!  She got a hold of the marker today and added some nice little art work to her arms that you can see in the pictures!  Also she had her Early Intervention appointment today.  I was a little disappointed I felt like they were unorganized and didn't know how to test her.  They had an Interpreter there but he mainly just played with her.  She was terrified of him at first when he started talking Mandarin.  She eventually warmed up to him and started playing with toys.  They ended up qualifying her mainly because of her ear deformity.  Someone will come to our house a few times a month and work with her, after she turns three she will be evaluated again and then placed in a once a week speech program.

Conor's team won!

I'm late posting, but our team ended up winning the Basketball tournement last weekend.  The boys had a tough couple of games on Sunday but ended up pulling it off.  Conor did really good and you could see his confidence grow as the weekend went on.  The team recieved t-shirts and a basketball for winning.

My little Cheerleader & football player

Zoe & Chase got dressed in their Beaver gear a couple nights ago.  Chase was funny, he really wanted to be in a Cheerleader outfit also, but settled for his Beaver jersey.

We won!

Just before first game
Conor's # 21

First game final score
Second game final score

Today was the first day of Conor's basketball tournement.  The first game they did really well and won by quite a bit.   The second game we found out they were going to playing the hardest team around.  I was scared, the begining they were neck to neck, then after halftime we were about 10 ahead.  Then in the last ten minutes the other coach had his kids fouling to stop the clock and we ended up winning at the end by one point!  He has two more games tomorrow, I didn't think I would be so excited about basketball!

Beach trip

I was messing around with my adobe photoshop after talking with another mom blogger and found out that I have the capability to do scrapbooks on my program.  Here is my first one!

Random Pictures!

I'm posting some random pictures from the week!
Notice the dog picture she actually touches them now!!!!!!
She had her first trip to daycare and I stayed with her while we visited for an hour, she goes back friday for 2 1/2 hours.  There are about 4 other girls her age there and a few babies, she seemed content and comfortable so it makes leaving her a little easier.

Zoe's finding add

Before we left for China I was reading another adopting families blog and I learned about a guy name Brian Stuy who collects newspapers with finding adds. I sent him all of the information and we had a package waiting for us when we got home. We now have a picture of Zoe when she was about two weeks old, along with the newspaper it was published in. This will be part of the first page of her adoption lifebook that I am making for her.....

First trip to the beach!

We took Zoe for her first trip to the Beach. Of course it was a wet cold trip, but she enjoyed it regardless. We ate at our favorite place Mo's and had Clam Chowder, then we walked down and showed her all of the Sea Lions that lay around the harbor.
Last stop was a Light House that she was unfortunately to small to climb so she stayed at the bottom with Grandma.

Eating Corn....

Yummy!! The pictures tell it all!

Happy New Year 2010!

We rung in the new year by playing Rock Band, Apples to Apples and spending time with family. Zoe crashed early at around 8, while the rest of the bunch stayed up until after midnight! We feel so blessed to start this New year with Zoe in our arms. We look forward to what this year will bring and all the firsts that she will experience with us.
