Visit to Uncle Sean's and Aunt Anna's

We decided to skip Church today and head up to Portland to visit my brother.  We had a very nice BBQ at their house and the kids played in the pool.  Then we went to a fun park nearby.  As we were entering someone that was leaving gave us their day passes.  So the kids got to ride/do several different things with the passes!  We had a lot of fun, from Go cart races, to walking a tight rope, to water boats!

Redwoods

On Wednesday we headed to the Coast.  First stop was Jedidiah state park and a walk through the Redwoods.  We chose a different trail this time and ended up on a very steep hike up hill.  Poor Grandma was so tired by the time we were done.  Afterwards we had a nice dinner on the bay and then it was time to head back.

Holt Picnic

We attended the Holt picnic today.  The kids had such a fun time.  Yesterday Zoe, Kayli, Debbie and I had a fun girl's afternoon getting pedicures and eating Mexican food.  Zoe then had a sleepover with Kayli and they met us in Eugene at the Holt picnic.  Our Social Worker was at the check in booth and we got to chat a little bit.  Then the girls played on the playground for a bit before lunch was announced.   They served a delicious Korean BBQ.  Then our Social worker introduced us to another couple from Corvallis and we chatted with them for a bit.  There was a magic show and then the kids swam in the pool the rest of the time. 

Making the most of the last few days of summer

We only have a couple weekends left until school starts and we've been as busy as ever.  Today I started the day going to a few garage sales with my mom and Chase.  Then after lunch we walked over to the Rodeo grounds to watch my friend Kathy's daughter Nicole ride her horse.  Zoe loved watching her and wants riding lessons now.  Then it was off to the local aquatic center for a end of the summer party held by Conor's Orthodontist.  I had fun chatting with my friend Nikki as the kids swam.  Afterwards we fed some hungry kids pizza and then off to the house for root beer floats!
