Coloring Eggs

We colored eggs the week before Easter.  I like to do this so that they can eat on the eggs all that week.  Yiyi loved coloring eggs.  She took her time with each and every egg, leaving it in the dye long enough to have a pretty color.

Hope was a bit impatient and quickly went through all her eggs, while Zoe also took her time.

Parker had some very creative eggs.  I wish I would have gotten a finished pictures of his eggs.

Chase had his friend Seth over who helped with the coloring

Storybook land

It's been a tradition for the last five years or so to visit storybook land.  This was Hope's first visit.  They have lots of displays for each kid movie or nursery rhythm.  They also have a large train set and ceramic houses.  Santa is at the end.  We weren't sure how Hope would do, but since she didn't cry the day before when she saw Santa we thought it would be okay to get a picture.

Holiday Express

Last weekend we drove up to Portland to ride the Holiday Express.  It's basically a cheaper version of the Polar express.  We met my brother and sister in law and nephew Landon.  My Mom and Mother in law also came, along with Zoe, Hope and Parker.  Chase was at a wrestling tournament (he got 1st) and Conor was at a friends.  We went for about a 40 minute ride in the train and Santa visited with each of the kids.  We were also able to walk around and it was decorated very cute!

Baking!

We spent the day baking.  Steve was out of town with the little ones and I was going to have to work the next two days.  So my mom came over and helped.  We made the pies and pie crusts from scratch.
We enjoyed working with my grandma Evelyn and having her help us with the crusts.  We also made, peppermint patties, mint chex mix, fudge (that didn't turn out) and Gelato icecream.

Storybook land

After Church we decided that we were going to take the kids to see Storybook land and Santa.  My parents went with us too, they had just returned from their weekend at the coast for their 29th Anniversary.  We invited the Todd family to join us and by accident we met up with the Rose family.
Afterwards we went to Abby's pizza for dinner.

Coloring eggs

Yes we have an extra guest in our house this week.   We have another exchange student from Japan and her name is Aya.  Parker's over at a friends house so he's not in the pictures tonight.  The kids had a lot of fun coloring eggs.  The girls took their time and had some very cute eggs.  Chase wrote " I believe in GOD" on his egg.
