Work trip to Seattle

This weekend I got to travel to Seattle for a work trip.   I picked my sister-in-law Anna up on the way and she stayed two nights with me.  We stayed downtown at the Sheraton, a really fancy hotel.  We met up with Anna's brother for some drinks the first night.  Then after my full day  of attending lectures we ventured out with Anna's good friend Wynn who is from Seattle.  We stopped first at a small little place along an alley way, no sign or anything to let you know it was there.  We had some very good drinks and then walked on to Black Bottle for a very lovely dinner and some red wine.  I had some pretty gruesome blisters going on by the time we made it to the dinner place, so we then took a cab back to our hotel.  The driver was a little scary with some nasty jokes but we survived.   After changing into some comfy shoes we were off to meet some more of Anna's friends.   All in all a very good night.   Anna left the next morning, and I went back to my lectures.  Saturday night I attended a sock hop at the top of the Seattle space needle.  It was very fun, some more good food and wine, and I met a woman from Chicago that has been doing Ultrasound longer than I've been alive.  Then next day was a short four hours worth of lectures and then I was on my way back home!

Student Dinner

Our Ultrasound student Heather is graduating next week, so we had a group dinner to celebrate.  She's been a great student and I'm happy to say that I was able to hire her!!  I brought Parker along with me, it was his turn to get some one-on-one time with Mom.  We ate at a place called Tokyo and they cook the food in front of you and perform little tricks, Parker loved it.  Me & him shared some tasty chicken and noodles.

I started sudying for my last ultrasound test this week. I'm hoping to take in beginning of March. Steve has been bugging forever to get it done with and he won't let me start Zoe's room without having it done. So I'm hitting the books for the next month and hopefully be done by beginning of March!!

Steve's work bowling party

Steve's work threw a family party at the new bowling alley in Albany. Conor missed out that night due to behavior issues & we enjoyed the night with Chase & Parker.
Chase threw his own ball down, and had it figured out that he could throw his next ball down before the pins were back down because his ball took so long to make it down. Parker did good and even got a strike!!!
