Chase Caveman Wrestling tournament

Chase had his first tournament this weekend.  Since we were heading down to Grants Pass we decided to do the tournament in Grants Pass instead of Sweet Home.  Chase only had one match which he won.  Then Steve got him two more exhibition matches.  He lost to the first kid by points but fought hard and didn't let the kid pin him.   Then the last match he won by points.  He ended up with first place.  He also got a sweatshirt the was made for him for free.  Aunt Terresa knew the lady running it and they need an example sweatshirt.  Grandpa Robin ended up getting a sweatshirt just like Chase.  Steve and Robin were Chase's coaches during this match since his coach was in Sweet Home.  Chase loved that they were.  Here's a few pictures from the day.

Thanksgiving and Family pictures.

We had a great Thanksgiving.  It was pretty low key with just our family and Sandy.  We had quite the morning trying to get the kids to cooperate for a picture, but we succeeded and ended up with some pretty good ones.  Later Anna, Sean and Landon joined us for pie.  He was so busy I only got one picture of him.  The next morning we were off early shopping.  This year Conor joined us, not sure if he'll do that again.  After shopping we came home and then took the older two boys to see the second Hunger games movie.  Then it was off to Grants Pass for the rest of the weekend.  Chase had a wrestling tournament on Saturday  and we also visited with my grandpa and an old friend from high school.

Conor Basketball pie auction

Conor's Basketball program had their basketball pie auction and the boys raised over $2500!  They also played a little Basketball and Conor did really good.  It was good to see him at it again doing what he loves.  Here's a few pictures from the night.  The girls basketball program also played and had a paper airplane fundraiser at the end.

Zoe's 4 year Gotcha day

Gotcha Day

1 year Gotcha day

2 year gotcha day

3 year gotcha day

4 year gotcha day
Today marked four years since we met our little girl in China.  It is amazing to look back and see how far she has come.  This year she is in first grade, reading, making lots of friends, and shining.  When we met her four years ago she had no language, even in her native language.  We started from scratch, like a newborn just making sounds and now she is a bubble of energy, always talking and her language has exploded.  I also see her graduating from speech in the next year or so.  She continues to love dance, cheer, gymnastics.  She is still a girly girly, high heels, lipstick and all.   She tries to sneak out to school with her lipstick on, but mom catches her every time.  She loves fashion and is the first to complement you on what your wearing, your jewelry or your makeup.  She can't wait to have a little sister to teach all of these things too (although we have warned her that her sister may not like them).  Here are pictures of all her Gotcha days!

Turkey Bingo and one more home study

Well Friday was quite the day in our house.  First off Zoe and I woke up not feeling to well so we both stayed home from school and work.  Then our Social worker returned for another visit when we thought we were all done and good to go.  Long story short we are now approved and should have our homestudy done beginning of next week.  Then Conor's basketball team made their cuts and Conor made it.  While we are really excited about it we are sad for the kids that had to be cut.  Lastly that night we attended the schools annual Turkey bingo, where you try and win a Turkey with a bingo.  Well we didn't succeed in winning a turkey but we did have a lot of fun and ended up bidding on a Warrior wear basket that we came home with.  Here are a few pictures from the night.
