Chase was an Engineer for the day

Chase got to enjoy a day  at Dad's work.  It was take your son or daughter to work day.  He missed it last year since he wasn't in school yet so he got to attend this year.  They gave him a badge, safety glasses and a paycheck at the end of the day.   He had lots of fun and when I got their to pick him up he had all of his stuff spread around Steve's cubicle.
On the drop off, Chase was so excited

Happy Easter

We had a little break in the weather and the kids got to hunt eggs outside at the park. Here's some pictures from the egg hunt.

A violin for Zoe..

Zoe has been obsessed with having a violin ever since she seen a girl play it at Parker's Christmas play.
We kept telling her we would get one for her birthday, but after looking at prices I wasn't sure if that was going to happen.  Well today God spoke, we happened to stop by a garage sale and they had a violin for sale.  As I walked up and started looking at it the guy said " It's half off now".   Zoe of course spotted it right away and wasn't going to leave without it.  So I paid the guy a whopping $50.00 and Zoe had herself a violin case and all.   Here's a few pictures from later in the day.

Not so sure about letting her brother have a try

look mom it can be a guitar too.

It's a little big, but she doesn't care.

Coloring eggs.....

I had promised the kids we would color Easter eggs tonight.  What I didn't promise was that I would work two hours overtime at work and not get home till around 9:00pm.  So when I arrived home the kids were all wide awake and ready for some egg painting and I wasn't about to let them down.  So here's a few pictures from tonight.

Re-adoption Ceremony!!!

Well after two months and lots of paperwork Zoe is officially re-adopted!!!  She was so cute during the ceremony the Judge asked her if she wanted to go up and sign the paper and she said "yes".   She wouldn't however sit on his lap, so she stood beside him and after choosing a red marker signed her name below where he signed his.

Trike a thon for St. Jude's

Yesterday Zoe's school had their annual Trike a thon with all the proceeds going to families of St Jude's hospital.   Chase didn't have school so he came along too, unfortunately his bike tire was flat and he didn't get to ride it but they had other tricycles for him to ride.  He was hesitant at first but then he was speeding around the gym.  Zoe rode her bike that she got on her last birthday and hadn't really had much of a chance to ride before.  They had a pit stop area where they could stop and eat a bite and drink some water.  I think Zoe stopped every other lap to eat a grape and then on she went!  Here are some pictures from the day.

Conor's band Concert

Conor had a band concert on last tuesday.  It was a district wide concert with kids from 6-12 grade.
Each grade played two songs and then at the end they all played two songs.  It was unbelievable how far these kids have come since September when they first started playing these instruments.

Soccer has begun!

Soccer season has officially began.  Steve had us up early getting ready for Parker's first game at 9 am.  We arrived at the field and we were told we had the wrong time.   We then returned home for a few hours before we returned for Chase's game.  Chase did really good and was the only one on his team to score a goal.  Parker almost scored a goal a few times, it was the closest he's ever gotten.   He gave it his all the whole game.    Chase met up with some girls from school while Parker was playing his game.  Were definitely going to have to watch out for this boy when he's a little older!
