African Drummer's

The kids have all kinds of neat opportunities at school.  This year the parent club set up African Drummers to come work with the kids.  The kids performed for the parents last Friday.  I had to work so I made sure Steve could attend.  I also reminded him to bring the camera and TAKE pictures.

Zoe and Chase both go to the same school, so they both got to participate.

Band Concerts

The older boys had their band concert on the same night. Grandma Susan was still in town so she got to make it too. Steve made it back from his trip just in time.  We've all been sick and this was the first time we've been out all week.  Poor Grandma got the sickness too.  Conor played three instruments, He played the electric guitar in the first Jazz band song, then switched to his saxophone in the last two.  Then with the 8th grade band he played the Baritone.  This was Parker's first concert and he played the trumpet.  The both did awesome!

Band concert

Conor performed on thursday night in a district wide band concert.  He still plays the saxophone.  It's amazing the difference in one year.  The 7th grade played beautifully.  We couldn't help but laugh at Zoe who thought that she would conduct the band, she put on quite the show and everytime I told her to sit down she told me No and kept on.  I'm going to try and post one of the videos.

A violin for Zoe..

Zoe has been obsessed with having a violin ever since she seen a girl play it at Parker's Christmas play.
We kept telling her we would get one for her birthday, but after looking at prices I wasn't sure if that was going to happen.  Well today God spoke, we happened to stop by a garage sale and they had a violin for sale.  As I walked up and started looking at it the guy said " It's half off now".   Zoe of course spotted it right away and wasn't going to leave without it.  So I paid the guy a whopping $50.00 and Zoe had herself a violin case and all.   Here's a few pictures from later in the day.
