Quick trip to the coast

Today we headed to the coast again, but this time a little farther south.  We met up with family that were camping at the Dunes.  The kids had lots of fun.  They sledded down the hill and got to ride quads.  Now Chase and Zoe really want one.  Chase did great an rode his cousin Dylan's quad all by himself.  Zoe got to ride with another adult and didn't think it was fair that Chase got to ride by himself.  The weather broke just long enough for the kids to get  to ride for about an hour and then it was time to head back home.

Chase was the first one to brave the hill
I don't know what the face was about he went pretty slow and had his feet down the whole time
Zoe didn't want to go down alone, so Dylan joined her.
 And they fell but
 Got up again
And then on the second run
fell again

Chase was a natural and was riding around by himself

Zoe pouted because she had to ride with someone else

Zoe getting her turn to ride.  With Cousin Ray showing her.  She pushed the gas full throttle one time and I could hear him screaming Zoe ease up!

The boys really enjoyed riding around together.  They got in trouble at one point when they went a little to far away

A Sunday Drive

So my Sunday didn't start like I wanted it to.  I woke up with a horrible headache.  So as badly as we all wanted to go to Church we stayed home hoping my headache would go away in time to enjoy some of the day.  By noon it was better and my parents were wanting to head over to the Newport for lunch.  So we headed over, it was so beautiful at the coast.  we had a delicious lunch at the Chowder Bowl and then walked down to the beach for a stroll.  It was really windy on the beach so it was a quick stroll.

Chase's Nerf Gun party

We had Chase's Birthday party today.  He chose to have a Nerf Gun party.  The invites were the nerf bullets with a label about the time and place.  It started with capture the flag.  Then in for some cake, icecream and presents.  Then some time on the trampoline and a game of Basketball.  Each kid got to take home their very own nerf gun.  So we are done with Birthday's for a couple months!  We ended the night with another Birthday party this one was located at a Church and they had a magic show that spoke about the good news of Jesus!  The kids really enjoyed themselves Zoe and Parker both volunteered at one point.  We met other families also blessed with adoption!

Steve had big ideas for a cake, but we decided in the end to keep it simple.  So he made a target sign
with the cupcakes.
