African Drummer's

The kids have all kinds of neat opportunities at school.  This year the parent club set up African Drummers to come work with the kids.  The kids performed for the parents last Friday.  I had to work so I made sure Steve could attend.  I also reminded him to bring the camera and TAKE pictures.

Zoe and Chase both go to the same school, so they both got to participate.

Peggy's Baby shower

Today we held a baby shower for the Teacher that my mom works for Peggy.   My mom's been working in her classroom for almost nine years and she will be moving after this baby is born.  We are sad to see her and her family go, she's been fun to get to know over the years.  The theme was mustache party.  It was fun taking pictures of the different people with Mustaches!

Some more Basketbal

This is the story of our lives.  If it's not one sport it's the next.  Basketball is almost done, next week the boys will play in their last games.  They have all had a pretty good season and I have noticed improvement in each of the kids since the beginning of the season.  Landon my Nephew was also down for the weekend so he got to watch Chase's game.  He was so cute, he was so excited to see Chase out playing he kept pointing at him and yelling Chase.  We are hoping to be matched with a little girl pretty close in age with my Nephew so they will both have a cousin their age.   Right now even though my kids are quite a bit older they love hanging out with their little cousin.

Asian Festival

This weekend was the annual Asian Festival in Eugene.  We left bright and early so that we could be there when it opened.  We picked up my mom on the way since my dad was out of town.   We met the Blake family and hung out the whole day with them.  We started by watching the Lion dance and the girls put the dollar in the Lion's mouth.  Then we walked around the booths.  Zoe and Kayli got their faces painted while Steve received his first acupuncture.  The kids couldn't watch they thought it was too gross. We then went and ate, and then watched a few more shows before heading back home.  Later we had the Blake family and Grace (Zoe's new friend from class who is also from China here for the year with her Aunt and Mom)  over.  We had a great evening learning more about China and culture from Grace's family, not to mention some great food!
