Pictures from today

Once again we had a horrible experience at Sears portrait studio.  We had a 4 oclock appt and they didn't get to us until 5 and by that time the kids were not happy, Chase wouldn't smile, and the other boys were bored, Zoe was a trooper and actually did the best out of the bunch.  I promised Steve I will not return back, I said that last time though and here we are again.  The pictures are so-so, some I like but not many and definetly not good enough for the price.   We'll I'll stop my complaining and just post them for you to see.

Happy Birthday Chase!!

My little boy is now five years old today and growing up way to fast.  You can read more about Chase on a recent post I made about him here .  He wanted a Spongebob birthday, and we decided to attempt to make our own cake this year.  I had been spying a spongebob cake pan at Michaels since Chase told me what theme he wanted for his party.  So after buying the cake pan, all the different dyes, frosting and tips, I think it would have been cheaper to just buy a cake.  But no we were committed we were going to give this little boy  his Spongebob cake.  Dad did most of the decorating, I helped out for awhile after his hand was getting soar, and after two + hours the cake was done..... And I have to say I was pretty proud of it!

Circus fun

So the Circus came to town.  And the kids came home with the FREE kids tickets ( I'll say more about this later).  And no other adult would volunteer to go with me, so after some bugging (sorry Steve) Steve decided to go, "don't even think about bugging me next year" he said".  After $32.00 for two adults, yes that inculdes the FREE kids tickets, adults cost $16.00 each to accompany the children, we found some great seats right in the middle.  Then the vendors starting walking by trying to sell their cotton candy, popcorn and icees and the kids starting begging for them.  We made a deal, be good until intermission and you can get one of the three.  After an hour and being squeezed together the show started.... And it was all worth it seeing  Zoe's eyes, she laughed, pointed, clapped, tapped on her brothers shoulders to make sure they were watching & just enjoyed herself.  Enjoy the pictures

Ready for the Show

Dad looks real happy!

Excited

Taking in the sights

Conor's favorite was the Tiger show

Chase's favorite was the poodles!

And the poor ol bear

All in all it was fun, but I have to agree with Steve it's not something you want to experience every year.

Happy 9th Birthday Parker!

Happy 9th Birthday Parker!  You can read a recent post I made on Parker here .  Today the post is about Birthday parties.   How I hate planning birthday parties, part of the reason is that we always go all out.  So it starts with them picking a theme, then driving 45 miles to the nearest party store, spending way too much money on plates, napkins, party bags & banners, then finding a place to have the party, reserving the place, picking out the cake, sending invites, getting the food  & balloons, & the presents........ I'm exhausted just thinking about it all again, & the worst part is that I have two birthday in March , 5 days apart from each other.   Don't get me wrong I love doing this for my kids & the joy they get out of it, but boy it's a hard job.

So Parker's birthday was a Rock Theme

And the cake Dad made was a Drum cake

And Dad put up the bounce house

And the kids went wild

And Dad even joined in on the fun (I hope he can move tomorrow)

And they bounced until they couldn't bounce anymore

And so we had some cake

And he opened some presents

And then said goodbye to all the kids...... And then Moms happy, happy the party went great, happy that Parker was happy& happy it's all over.... but next week
we have to do it all over again.

My little Chaser!

I'm finally getting a minute to hopefully put in this sunday snapshot before 1) someone comes in crying because their hurt or 2) my work calls (I'm on call this weekend).  So Chase's birthday is coming up and I thought this would be the perfect time to do a post on him.  In twelve days my baby boys turns 5, yes "5".  We knew when I got pregnant with him that he was our last baby, so I savored every minute of the pregnancy.  He was one day early according to our due date and came into this world very fast, the doctor wasn't even gloved up.   And it continued, the baby I wanted to stay a baby forever grew up faster than the other boys, he sat up sooner, crawled sooner, walked sooner, talked sooner  &  you name it.

He was born with more hair than the other boys and bright blue eyes!

Eyes that reminded me of his daddy

My precious boy that was always smiling

and had a million different expresisions

Who would hang with the older brothers & didn't know he was years younger

He loved to crack us up when he played dress up
(sorry daddy)

And loved to be like his brothers

The cutest ring bearer I have ever seen & who gave us a scare when he told us moments before the
ceromony started that he wasn't walking down the aisle.

but decided that it wasn't that bad and got a standing ovation as he walked down

He now has a new best friend & partner in crime!

And eyes have changed over the years and settled in to a hazle color, but still just as cute as ever

I had to end it with this picture taken in the park yesterday, where he got the biggest wedgie and gave us a good laugh.  (He didn't ask to go on the baby swing again)!

Well it happended, I got called by work, and will end it by saying

WE LOVE YOU CHASER!
