Parker's 8th grade basketball

Parker had a game last night and we were so proud of how hard he played.  The team has some issues early on with kids missing games due to grades and injuries.  Parker also had to miss some practices due to appointments.  So he didn't know the plays as well as the other kids.  The game last night was amazing.  They all played as a team and Parker defense was amazing.  He stopped the lead scorer and closed the gap.

The pictures didn't turn out very good because we were sitting at the top of the bleachers and the lighting was not ideal and of course everyone was in motion.  Here are a few I wanted to share.

Parker's 8th grade Basketball

Basketball has officially started and this year we only have one child in Basketball.  Our boys have always loved playing but had a change of heart after coaching issues in the prior years.  This will probably be Parker's last year and we are trying to enjoy it.  His first game was tough.  They lost by quite a bit and his best friend broke and dislocated his arm during the game and is out for the rest of the season.  Since then they have won one away game and lost one.  On Wednesday they played their second home game and it was really close all the way to the end.  They ended up losing by a few.  Parker played hard and I really enjoyed watching him play.

And then Basketball is done!

Conor had his last game on Tuesday, Parker on Wednesday and Chase on Friday.  We are officially done with Basketball.  Here are some pictures from Conor and Parker's last game.  Conor's team placed 1st in JV2 and Parker's team 2nd.   Conor had a good season but didn't get a chance to show what he could do very often.  Parker's made lots of progress and improvements.

Some more Basketbal

This is the story of our lives.  If it's not one sport it's the next.  Basketball is almost done, next week the boys will play in their last games.  They have all had a pretty good season and I have noticed improvement in each of the kids since the beginning of the season.  Landon my Nephew was also down for the weekend so he got to watch Chase's game.  He was so cute, he was so excited to see Chase out playing he kept pointing at him and yelling Chase.  We are hoping to be matched with a little girl pretty close in age with my Nephew so they will both have a cousin their age.   Right now even though my kids are quite a bit older they love hanging out with their little cousin.

Parker's first basketball game

Parker had his first two games of the season this week.  The first game he got to play point guard and did great with the ball.  His team ended up loosing pretty bad in that game.  Then the next day they played again and won.
