Valentines Day

I can't believe how hard it's been to keep up lately.  Too many things to do to little time.  We had a pretty low key Valentines day.  Steve flew out of town today and my mother-in-law Susan is helping me out while he's gone.  I picked up a heart shaped pizza on the way home and a smore pizza for desert.
The kids loved it, Conor however missed out, he had an away game and didn't get home till really late.

Chase plays basketball

This weekend was kinda of a low key weekend. We only had one game to go to on saturday. This is the first game I got to watch Chase play in since I was at the Chinese New Years celebration last saturday. It was fun watching him figure things out. He is one of the smaller kids on the court and we couldn't help but laugh when he got matched up with a girl that was over a foot taller than him. He didn't get a basket but attempted about ten times. We went to Church this morning and had just a small Super bowl party with family today, I slept through the halftime show and 3rd quarter. I'm really not ready to go back to work tomorrow, last week was a tough week.

Basketball and a broken finger

Well we had another crazy weekend of basketball tournaments.  On saturday we made it back in time to catch the last of Parker and Conor's games.  Parker hurt his finger in the game, but it looked like it was just jammed.  So the next day I taped two fingers together and he played the remaining two games on Sunday.  Well this morning the finger was still swollen so Steve took him in for an Xray.  It was broken and now he's in a cast for at least four weeks, so he will be missing the rest of the season.  Conor's team got second in the tournament!  Parker's team placed 4th to some very tough competition.

Lots of rain and a new laptop

So far this year has started off pretty rocky.  Two days after the snow pictures I posted we had flooding.  The worst flooding that our town has ever seen.  We had water behind our house in the wetlands and then we had water in front of our house from the road that turned into a river.  The community really pulled together and their were all kinds of people helping to deliver sandbags to the homes that needed them.  By the next morning the water was down quite a bit and then a couple days later the roads around us started to open up again.  I'm posting some of the pictures from the day of the worst flooding.

So on to the new computer, well ours was on it's last life for quite awhile.  Over a year ago I brought it in and it had it wiped clean and we started over.  Well that didn't last long, it was soooo slow after that and took forever to do anything.  Well last week it finally died, right in the middle of me doing taxes.  So I took it in and they were able to save all of the data from the old computer and transfered it to a harddrive. So today we went out computer shopping and found a pretty good deal at Costco. So here I am writing my first post from my new laptop and loving it!

Snow Day & Busy

Wow, I can't believe how time flies and that my last post was on Christmas.  It's been a very busy few weeks here.  Just after the New Years a very good friend of mine ended up in the hospital.  Then basketball started up for all three of the boys.  The first weekend of the New Year Conor and Parker both had a tournament. Parker did well in his first tournament and his team got second.   Conor's team hasn't been doing as well this year and ended up third.  Today we got snow and it was the first day I really had pictures to share.  So here they are!
