Conor had his eight grade Desert dance tonight. His friends Dylan and James came over before the dance for pictures. My boys is looking all grown up, it brings tears to my eyes. Before I know it I'll
be taking his prom pictures.
Today I went on one last field trip with Chase. We went to his teacher's house. Her husband has all kinds of water fowl that he raises. The kids learned about the different kinds. Then she served lunch to her whole class and the kids had fun playing around the whole afternoon.
Tonight Echo (Yang Xu) was awarded a plaque for her year on Exchange. Her time here is coming to an end it has been a learning experience for all of us and we will miss her when she goes. However we will not be saying Goodbye forever, she plans on touring with us when we return to China and attending OSU the college in our town in the future.
Today I went with Chases class on a field trip to the Gilbert Discovery House in Salem.. The kids also got to ride the Carousal. They have been studying all of the Carousal horses and were excited to ride their favorite house. I had a group of five boys and it was a bit of a crazy day. Five kids wanting to go five different directions, but I made it through without loosing a kid.
Last year we had all four kids playing baseball, this year only one still wanted to play. So this will be Conor's last sport before highschool. We would love to see him continue on in highschool because he loves sports so much, but we understand how competitive it gets and let's just face it this guy is just not the competitive type. He loves sports, but he plays them for fun. He's had really good season this year and I have seen him improve so much over last year. Here's a few pictures from tonight's game.
This morning we all rode our bikes to church. It felt good to be able to ride our bikes again.
This afternoon we got invited to a end of season soccer party for Chase's team. His coach lives quite a ways out and has 20 acres of land. The kids spent time playing soccer, and rowing in the canoe in the pond.
