Bauman's Pumpkin Patch

Through a friend we discovered an awesome pumpkin patch about an hour from our home.  The kids each got an arm band and were able to do all of the activities.  The first one they chose was the zip line.  I was a little scared for Zoe but knew she would do fine.  The kids really enjoyed it.   Then we were off to the many other activities.  We ended with the pumpkin patch and monster golf.   Conor pushed around the wheelbarrow as we all collected our pumpkins.  Of course my kids didn't stop until they had found the biggest of the bunch.  I purchased a 145 lbs worth of pumpkins yesterday.   All in all it was a fun day and I was very proud of myself for venturing out this far away from home with all four kids and no helpers, but Conor was the best and helped a bunch!

Zoe's class field trip

Happy about getting her pumpkin

Today I went with Zoe's class to the pumpkin patch.  Since we now have a 12 passenger van, I got volunteered to bring half the kids there.  So I had eight car seat in the van with eight little 4 year olds.  I had a fun time seeing her with her new friends and meeting some of the other parents.   This is Zoe's first year at this school and we knew no one.  It's a private school for grades pre-k to 8th grade with a christian foundation.  I really like it and may keep her in it for next year.

Beaver Fever

We had a fun weekend!  It started out saturday morning going to a kid carnival at OSU.  The kids played games and met the athletes.  Then we had two soccer games at the same time.  I watched Chase and Steve watched Parker.  After that I took the two younger kids with me to watch Footloose and Steve took the older two boys hunting.  They had no luck and returned home around 7 pm.   Then we were off for one more adventure, we took Chase and Conor to the haunted house in Salem called the Nightmare Factory.  Chase begged to go, but after the hour wait in line he was beat and Steve carried him through most of the haunted house.   I was proud of Conor because I knew this was out of his comfort zone but he followed through with it even though he was scared.    Here's a few pictures from the day!
